What are your hours?

Monday through Saturday we are open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are open seven days a week, weather permitting.

Is service weather permitting?

Yes. Hand washing is performed outdoors and in open bays, so service availability depends on weather conditions. If the weather is severe, please call (312) 341-0200 before driving over.

When does the line close?

The last vehicle must be in line at least 15 minutes before closing. No exceptions.

How do I know which vehicle size applies to my car?

Pricing is grouped into three classes: Car, Mid-Size SUV / Van, and Large SUV / Van. Sedans, coupes and hatchbacks are priced as cars. Compact and mid-size crossovers and minivans fall into the mid-size class. Full-size SUVs and full-size vans fall into the large class. If you are unsure, our team will confirm the class when you arrive.

What is included in the Exterior Only package?

Exterior Only includes a foam wash, hand dry with soft towels, wheels cleaned and dried, door jambs wiped, and the trunk or tailgate wiped.

What is included in the Silver Package?

Accepted Answer

Silver includes everything in Exterior Only plus an interior vacuum, windows cleaned inside and out, dashboard and console wiped, and door jambs cleaned.

What is included in the Platinum Package?

Platinum includes everything in the Silver Package plus an air freshener and your choice of available fragrance.

Do standard washes clean every hidden crevice?

Our standard hand washes are designed to clean visible surfaces and restore your vehicle’s shine. They do not include detailed cleaning of every small crevice or hidden area. For more thorough results, please review our detailing services.

How long do detailing services take?

Accepted Answer

Hand Wax takes approximately 1–2 hours. Interior Shampoo takes approximately 2–2.5 hours. Buff & Hand Wax takes approximately 2–3 hours. Platinum Detailing takes approximately 4–5 hours.

Detailing prices begin at the amounts shown. Final pricing may vary based on vehicle size, condition, and requested work.

Should I remove valuables from my vehicle?

For your convenience and protection, please remove all personal belongings and valuables from your vehicle before service. State Street Hand Car Wash is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal property left inside the vehicle, including but not limited to electronics, money, or jewelry.
